“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5.

I’d like to focus on the latter part of that verse. Sometimes I have struggles that are bigger than I can handle. I need God’s help to find the comfort and strength to help me recover. Whatever the reason, if you are hurting with struggles and need to be encouraged, just think back to the times in your past when you know God carried you through to a time of healing and recovery. Always know you can place your trust in Him and that He will carry you through again.

When we suffer from the pains of this life, always know through love God is working to restore joy to our lives.

Somerville Baptist presents Tailgate Sunday Sept. 24 for all local football teams. Somerville Baptist Church loves the community and once again is looking forward to honoring area football players, coaches and their families in a fun and exciting way.

Teams will be recognized during the 10 a.m. service, followed by free lunch and games as all tailgate on the square. There will also be a drawing for a $50 gift card from Academy Sports. All players are encouraged to wear their jerseys. The guest speaker this year is Jeremiah Castille. Castille was an All-American Cornerback at the University of Alabama and played six seasons in the NFL. Don’t miss one of the most exciting events you will experience this football season.
