Funeral for Bill Wiley, 86, will be held Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clayton Speed and Bro. Terry Nappier officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wiley passed away Sept. 24 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Morgan County to Alonzo Wiley and Lucille Smith Wiley. He was a Baptist in his faith and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War Conflict. He was an owner-operator of Hartselle Frozen Foods with his brother Samie for 43 years. It was a gathering place for people to drop in and visit and have a Coke. He loved sports, especially Alabama football, and he loved to bowl.

He was married to Jeanette Owens Wiley, who preceded him in death in 2000. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Helen Wiley and Peggy Woodall, and a brother, Bobby Wiley.

Survivors include a son, Billy Paul Wiley; two daughters, Vivian Wiley Fawbush and Sandra Wiley Cail; four brothers, Samie Wiley, Frank Wiley, Bruce Wiley and Jimmy Wiley; three sisters, Carolyn Dutton, Nancy Hollis and Susan Smith; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alex Taylor, Nick Howard, Dustin Shaneyfelt, Steve Wiley, Michael Vinzant , David Curnel, Brantley Wiley and Seth Wiley.
