Funeral for Linda Lou Holmes, 70, was Sat., Aug. 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with David Holmes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Mrs. Holmes died Wed., Aug. 23, 2017 at her residence. She was born Oct. 27, 1946, in Morgan County to Ira “Tom” E.  Penwell and Virgie Elizabeth Brown Penwell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved visiting Ohio, going on cruises, her flowers and her hummingbirds. She was a Health Care worker for Summerford Nursing Home prior to retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; three sisters; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Holmes of Falkville; four daughters,
Michele Lee Cramer of Ravenna, Ohio, Tonya Renee Bohon of Portage Lakes, Ohio,
Jenna Elizabeth Talbert of Medina, Ohio and Linda Diane Wilt of Falkville, Ala; a brother, Roy Biffel Penwell of Hilton Head, S.C.; a sister, Patricia Ann Phillips of Portage Lakes, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kevin Bohon, John Betterton, John Grandstaff, Gary Ramey, Charles Fredricks and David Fredricks.
