VONA B. ELKINS SERVES GOD THROUGH HER WRITING

I was very pleased recently to meet and visit with Moulton author Vona B. Elkins. Mrs. Elkins is the author of the book titled Ruth, The Woman Who Found Romance In A Barley Field.

Vona B. Elkins, raised her family on a horse and cattle farm in Mount Hope, Ala. Now living in nearby Moulton, she has been published in Southern Writers Best Short Fiction and Missions Mosaic. She writes for Christ to the World Ministries, a worldwide missions organization. She is a member of the Lawrence County Writers Guild and American Christian Fiction Writers.

Beneath Vona’s gracious Southern exterior resides surprising passion, passion for God and life, family and community, singing and Auburn football and her new love of writing. Her delightful humor, gentleness and gift of hospitality draw people in, prompting her granddaughters to grant her the affectionate title of “The Friend-Catcher”. For more information about Mrs. Elkins book, you can email her at Vona256@charter.net.
