Dessie Garrison Vandiver

Funeral for Dessie Garrison Vandiver, 90, of Danville will be Wed. (today), Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at Christ Fellowship Church with Bro. Danny Garrison and Bro. Stanley Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in New Center Cemetery.  Visitation will be
Wed., Dec.14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Vandiver died Mon., Dec. 12, 2016, at National Healthcare Moulton. She was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Lawrence County to Walter Jackson Perry and Lou Jeanie Stutton Perry.  She was employed as a machine operator for the Prestolite Corporation prior to her retirement. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Mitchell Garrison and Russell Vandiver; her parents; a son, Milton Garrison; and a daughter, Anna Reeves.
She is survived by two sons, Doyle Garrison (Rosie) and Danny Garrison (Katrina) of Hartselle; four daughters, Gail Kelso (Clarence), Brenda White (Roger), Connie Peck and Kim Victorino; a sister, Jean Frost; a son-in-law, Stanley Reeves; 21 grandchildren; 30 great–grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Garrison, Delane Kelso, Nick Peck, Todd Garrison, Marty Reeves, Brad Peck and  Stephen White.
