A Miss Pure Gold Beauty Pageant will be held at Danville Middle School on December the 11TH of 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Danville Middle School gym. The pageant is a fundraiser for “St. Jude Children,s Research Hospital” . There will be a $35.00 registration fee and every contestant will receive a tiara. This pageant is open for ages birth through the 12th grade. The deadline to enter will be December the 5th. The age divisions will be as follows, Baby Miss-0-23 months, Tiny Miss-2-3 years, Precious Miss-4-5K, Little Miss-1st-2nd grade, Beautiful Miss-3rd-4th grade, Pre-Teen Miss-5th-6th grade, Junior Miss-7th-8th grade, Miss-9th-12th grade . The winners will receive a beautiful round crown. The pageant is being hosted by Miss Alaina Wiley with all of the proceeds going to St. Jude Children,s Hospital. This is a non-glitz pageant , bling, glitter, sequins and age appropriate makeup is welcome but is not required. Sunday dress is fine as the girls will not be judged  on the dress but how the dress looks on them. A admission charge of three dollars for all guests that are not in the competition and children 4 and under will be admitted for free. One parent per-contestant will be free to help back stage.Check in and walk through will be from 12:30 to 1:30 and the pageant will start on time at 2:00 so the contestants can attend evening worship services. Everyone is welcome to attend the Beauty Pageant and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the St. Jude Children,s Hospital. Charles Teague was the birthday honored former Deli Patron for November. He was thankful for the red velvet cake, his favorite provided by Traci Slate. The group met on Wednesday, November the 9th at Holy Smoke BBQ for their Thanksgiving lunch. Danville High School Hawks ended the season with a big win at home on Friday night, October 29th. Cold Springs Eagles of Cullman County couldn,t get ahead of the Hawks whose outstanding players were Jackson Locklear, Zach Baker, Matt Borden, Ryan Self, Peyton Colburn, Justin Greenhaw and Landon Tidwell. The final score was 40 to 28 .

Danville’s Lady Hawks Volleyball Team won a 3-game streak in a 5 game series in the state tournament quarter finals with Alabama Christian. Then the Lady Hawks lost to Madison Academy in the semi finals. Their outstanding players were Shelby Zeigler, Mikayla Koins and Alexis Snow.
