Funeral for Robert Moore, 54, of Florence, was Sun., Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chad Hess officiating and Eulogy by Max Townson.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Moore died Nov. 10, 2016, at his residence. He was born July 29, 1962, in Hartselle to J.P. Moore and Patsy Townson Moore Bonner. He worked for Mitco in sales. Robert was a follower of Christ and was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church; he was loved by all who knew him. He was an outstanding football player.He was part of State Championship teams with Hartselle High School, where he is a member of the Hartselle Athletic Hall of Fame. He kept playing football at the next level and attended the University of North Alabama; he also played on two Gulf South Conference Championship teams. “Big Mo” still holds record of five sacks in a single game. With his infectious smile, his warm hearted loving spirit showed through. Robert was passionate about God, his family, friends, UNA, Alabama, Miami Dolphin football and grilling and cooking. Anyone who met him was certainly blessed. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, J.P. Moore and a brother, John Paul Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Moore of Florence; a daughter, Anna Lea Moore – Florence; his mother, Pat Bonner (Billy) of Lillian; a sister, April Vinzant, (fiancée, Brian Langham) – of Hartselle; and host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
