Kayleigh Blair McClendon, 7, of Hartselle, died on Nov. 15 at her home after a six-month battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday Nov. 17 at Central Baptist Church.
Funeral service for Kayleigh will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov.
18 at Central Baptist Church in Decatur with Dr. Rob
Jackson officiating and burial in the Roselawn Cemetery. Peck Funeral
Home will be directing.
Kayleigh was born on May 13, 2009 in Birmingham. She attended
Crestline Elementary School in Hartselle and was loved by many. She
loved church, softball, kitty cats, butterflies, friends, family, the color
purple and most importantly, Jesus.
Kayleigh’s life may seem too short to many, but to those of us who were
touched by her precious life, valiant battle and beautiful faith, we know
that God’s plan was perfected in Kayleigh’s life.
The legacy of hope and faith she leaves behind will continue to touch people around the world for
many years to come.
She is preceded in death by her aunt, Donna Nancarrow Metcalf, and cousin, Eli Caleb Rabb.
She is survived by her loving parents, Tim and ‘Carrow McClendon; sister, Grace McClendon; brother, Cole McClendon; grandparents, Harold and Gloria McClendon of Gardendale, Bill and Beth Rabb of Hartselle;
great-grandparents, George and Sylvia Nancarrow of Decatur, Bill and Ann Rabb of Hoover;
uncles, aunts and cousins, Curt and Tammy Stokes of Mountain Brook, Ala., their children, Alex and Elle Stokes;
Kelly and Rachel Rabb of Hartselle, their children, Will and Cooper Rabb; Calloway and Mica Rabb of Decatur, their children, Miller, Mallory and Milan.
Family Pallbearers include: Rob and Camp Metcalf, Curt and Alex Stokes, Kelly and Will Rabb, and
Calloway and Miller Rabb.
