Funeral for Jody Lee Brookshire, 38, of Somerville was Wed., Sept. 21, at 1 p.m. at Somerville Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Clemons officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state for one hour at the church prior to the service.

Burial was in Russell Cemetery.

Mr. Brookshire died Sun., Sept. 18, 2016, at his residence.  He was born Oct. 18, 1977, in Texas. He was a mechanic for Minor Tire and was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. He was preceded in death by a brother, Josh Herron.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Brookshire; three sons, Ethan Grant Brookshire, Brody Lee Brookshire and Braxton Blaze Brookshire; a daughter, Noelle Lea Reaves; his parents, Randy and Kathy Duke Truss; two brothers, Adam Herron and B J Herron (Kara); and a sister, Christina Estes (Jim).
Pallbearers wereJim Estes, Jayce Sharp, Chris Truss, Tommy Poole, Rodney Duke and Rickey Taylor.
