Funeral for Alta Pevahouse, 90, of Falkville was Thur., Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Redfearn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Pevahouse died Tues., Sept. 20, 2016, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Tennessee to Homer DePriest and Leota Dabbs DePriest.  She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Pevahouse; her parents; a son, William Carl Pevahouse; five brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by five sons, Gary Pevahouse (Jane) of Ruther Glen, Va., Ronald Pevahouse, Kenny Pevahouse (Donna), Darryl Pevahouse (Patricia) and Phillip Pevahouse (Nene), all of Hartselle; a daughter, Mary Gail Pevahouse of Hartselle; a sister, Dorothy Lomax; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to West Hartselle Baptist Church, in memory of William and Alta Pevahouse.
