A graveside service for Lurlene Beggs, 80, of Somerville will be Sat., Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. at Red Oak Cemetery with the Rev. James Barnes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Beggs died Thur., Sept. 1, 2016, at her residence. She was born May 14, 1936, in Morgan County to Archie Rochester Swader and Vida Lurene Simms Swader. For many years she was a homemaker and in the workforce until she retired. She focused more on taking care of her family and loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She as an avid quilter and loved to be outdoors. She will be missed dearly by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Doyle “Buddy” Swader and Cecil Swader; and one granddaughter, Sandy Egan, all of Somerville.

She is survived by her husband, James Harvey Beggs, Jr. of Somerville; a son, Richard Beggs (Roxanne) of Somerville; two daughters, Sharon Beggs Stringer (Ken) of Woodville and Patricia Beggs Barnes (Tim) of Fayetteville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Andrea Maroney (John Wayne), Leslie Johnson, Michael Egan (Elizabeth) and Derek Stringer; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden Jeffreys, Bentley Johnson and Kaylie Egan.
