New Center News

Do you ever feel weak when it comes to your faith as if you could be going through the motions? Perhaps you have let something drive a wedge between you and God. He wants our hearts to be right with him.

In Psalm 51, we find where David felt this way. He had sinned with Bath-Sheba. In verse 12 we see where David cries out to God “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” God wants us to be close to him but unconfessed sin can make it impossible. David was pleading for mercy, forgiveness and God’s cleansing. Sin still carries consequences as David had but God will restore your relationship with him and give back your joy.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the Colette Charest family, Sheats family, McAbee family, Matthews family, Boyd family, Medlin family and Amy McGowan family. May God comfort you during this time of loss.
