Annual reading program at Falkville public library begins July 7th

The annual Reading Program at Falkville Public Library will be July 7 at 2 p.m. and will continue every Thursday during July. The title of the program is Ready, Set, Read!

First Baptist Church Falkville birthdays for June are: Jillian Smith on June 5, Will Cannon and Kaileigh Polley on June 7, Janet Woods on June 8, Cooper Williams on June 9, Levi Birath on June 10, Jade Chowning on June 13, Alan Thompson on June 16, Jane Ann Lee on June 17, Savannah Cannon and Don Morris on June 19, Bonnie Thompson on June 23, Judy Gover on June 25, Phyllis Teague and Linda Bryan on June 26, Jennie Foote on June 28 and Linda Alldredge on June 30.

The senior center extends birthday wishes to David Scott on June 24, Barbara Asherbranner on June 12 and Charles Willams on June 9.

Visiting recently with Max and Dana Schrimsher were her daughters, Jill Joiner of Pike Road, Julie Norris of Wetumpka and her grandchildren,Mick and Erin Norris.

Max and Dana Schrimsher enjoyed visiting dear friends, Judy and Dearl Woodcock of Hartselle last week.

Libby’s Restaurant in Priceville was the gathering place for a lunch group. Among those enjoying the good food and fellowship were Melba Nelson, Margaret Puckett, Marie Speegle, Wilma Depreast and Eva Stinson. Also eating with the group were Kathy Gray, Betty Wright, Howard and Helen Gibson and Ray and Betty Sanders.

Margaret Murphy enjoyed her Sunday recently at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in the Bethel Community of Cullman County. Bro. Wes Watts preached a wonderful message. Then she spent a relaxing afternoon at the home of her daughter, Susie and son-in-law, Lynn Dean floating around the pool with them and her granddaughter, Summer Dean. Her son’s family, Brian, Carol and her granddaughter, Autumn Murphy of Tuscaloosa, spent several fun days in Sand Destin, Fla.
