New Center News for June 8

There is nothing more irritating to me than trying to do something without the proper skills or tools. It’s like trying to chop wood with a dull ax.

In Ecclesiastes 10:10 the scriptures tell us: If the iron is blunt and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength; but wisdom is profitable to direct. First, start by sharpening your tools so you can do a good job. Second, if you are lacking in skills you may want to practice up on what you do know or even consider some additional training. Just realizing the areas in your life where the ax is dull is a step in the right direction. Where the tools are dull sharpen them to do a better job. Where you lack skills pursue training and practice. In doing this you can be more effective for God’s work.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Kenneth Williams, Buzzy Harvel and to Barbara Thrasher in the loss of her dad, Marvin Troxtel.
