God had his angels around me

Letter to the Editor

Reading your letter of last week, Feb. 10, about Guardian Angels protecting us, it made me think about many times I know that God had His Angels around me. But, one time in particular I wanted to share with you. I had gone to the grocery store and leaving the store required me to cross a duel highway. While waiting to cross over the northbound lanes to get the center to then turn onto the southbound lanes I saw a tractor trailer truck approaching with plenty of time for me to cross over. As I proceeded over to the center there appeared a small car on the left of the truck, passing him and coming at me with great speed. Then something happened that was a total miracle. My car ended up in the meridian, facing south, untouched, completely stopped. It was as if my car had been picked up and placed there, and seemed to have happened in slow motion. Once I collected my self I was able to get onto the southbound lanes and head home. All this was a miracle, but the most amazing part is that I did not know God, was not His and had no intension of ever being His. My point to this story is this. Even tho I had not been saved, accepted Christ and was living for Him, God in His Mercy saw fit to reach down and prevent me from being hurt or even killed that day. I will forever remember that day, and many more times since that He protected me. I am happy to say in 1991 I became a child of the King, only because of His Mercy can I say that today.
