John McCaghren

Funeral for John McCaghren, 84, of Danville will be Sat., Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church with Bros. Tim Keenum, Steve Ledbetter and Phil Waldrop officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Oct. 17, from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. McCaghren died Wed., Oct. 14, 2015, at NHC Healthcare. He was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Lawrence County to Robert Lee McCaghren and Lillie Mayfield McCaghren. He was a boxmaker for Wolverine Tube prior to his retirement. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. McCaghren was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Keenum McCaghren, his parents, five brothers and one sister.

He is survived by a son, Mark McCaghren (Telowa) of Murphreesboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Becky Nicholson (James) of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Tyler McCaghren, Faith McCaghren, Breanna Nicholson and Jasmine Nicholson; and special friend, Esther Sherman.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, family requests for memorial donations be made to Enon Baptist Church Building Fund.
