Dr. Desiree Lynn Lipscomb, 56, of Norcross, Ga., will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Ms. Lipscomb died Oct. 7, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Huntsville where she graduated from Butler High School. She was an avid Auburn Tigers fan having earned five degrees from Auburn University including multiple Bachelors of Science, a master’s degree in Clinical Pathology, a PhD and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She was a clinical pathologist at IDEXX Laboratories in Norcross, Ga. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dana Charles Libscomb.

She is survived by her mother, Bertie Lou Cryer Lipscomb of Cumming, Ga.; and father, Charles Robert “Bob” Lipscomb of Huntsville.
