Falkville runs over West Morgan

The Blue Devils racked up nearly 450 offensive yards in their 61-20 defeat over the Rebels on Friday in Burl Vest Stadium.
The only lead for West Morgan came at the 10:59 mark to start the game on a one-yard keeper by Gabriel Peluso. The extra point was good by Noah Brazelton.
Just over two minutes later, following and eight play drive, a 10-yard pass from Ryan Sullivan to Andy Dove put Falkville on the scoreboard. The extra point was added by Zac Brown and the game was tied 7-7.
With 4:49 to play in the first quarter, Sullivan scrambled and ran the ball 61-yards for a touchdown, but the extra point was unsuccessful by Brown.
A minute later, Logan Vinson recovered a fumble during West Morgan’s kick-off return on the four-yard line. Two plays later, Caleb Vinson ran the ball in for a touchdown. Sullivan’s two-point conversion to Brown made the 21-7.
To start the second quarter, Caleb Vinson ran 42 yards for a touchdown. Brown missed his second extra point and the Blue Devils led 27-7.
Bryan White recovered a Rebel fumble on the 21-yard line that created the next FHS score. Three plays later, Devin Reed scurried four-yards and walked into the end-zone. Brown connected on the point after and extended their lead 34-7.
West Morgan fought back before halftime. Just under two minutes in the second quarter, Peluso made a four-yard run into the end-zone. Brazelton was true on the extra point.
Falkville led West Morgan 34-14 at the half. At the 9:26 mark in the third, Sullivan called his own number and ran the ball on a four-yard keeper for a score. Brown added the PAT.
Devin Reed and Caleb Vinson both had stand-out games offensively. Reed scored next on a two-yard carry. Brown’s extra point was no good. Falkville led 47-14.
