Priceville continues to impress

Priceville started much like they did last week, scoring fast and often.  Not to be outdone, the JB Pennington Tigers kept pace for a time.
The Bulldogs scored 10 touchdowns on the night, 3 in each of the first three quarters and one in the last.  The Tigers battled to the end and made several exciting plays of their own, despite what the scoreboard was saying.
The first quarter began with Priceville receiving the opening kick off and taking the ball down the field in a just a few plays.  The Tigers answered quickly, and unlike the Bulldogs, they converted the extra point to make the score 7-6 Tigers.  The Bulldogs responded with a score, but again they gave up a big play to the Tigers.  This was the last time JB Pennington would lead.  Priceville, led by Senior quarterback, Kaleb Barker kept rattling off scores while the Bulldog defense and special teams allowed the Tigers to stay within a few scores at the half, 40-12 Priceville.
The second half was largely like the first with the Bulldogs outscoring the Tigers.  In the third quarter alone, Priceville put up 21 points to 13 for JB Pennington.  In the forth, the Tigers would rally to score two more times to Priceville’s one, making the final score 68-41.
Barker carried 24 times for 202 yards, scoring 4 times on the ground.  He also threw 43 times, connecting on 31 passes for 394 yards.  He scored 4 times, hitting 8 different receivers.  Kyle Haynes led the receivers with 106 yards on 7 catches.  Heath Mann made 6 receptions for 99 yards, while Aaron Cartee had 187 all purpose yards, rushing for 124 yards and receiving the ball for 63 more yards.  The Bulldogs ground up 728 yards with 334 rushing and 394 yards passing.
Priceville (2-0) faces another region opponent, North Jackson (1-1) this next week in the season home opener.
