Funeral for Gurnie Williams, 82, of Falkville will be Wed., July 29, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pete Grund officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery in Falkville. Visitation will be Tues., July 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams died Fri., July 24, 2015, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 19, 1933, in Morgan County to Addie Elizabeth Williams Mitchell. He was an employee of Metco, where he worked as a welder, prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Lee Fortenberry Williams and his parents.

He is survived by a daughter, Patsy Vance of Falkville; a brother, James Mitchell of Hartselle; two sisters, Rachel Sheppard of Falkville and Lizzie Ray of Moulton; and one grandchild, Christopher Barber of Eva.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
