Hartselle thrift store to hold charity sale
Mel’s Thrift and Variety in Hartselle will hold a grab-bag sale on items July 17-18.
Bags will be $5 each, and half of the proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald house in Birmingham that helps parents pay expenses while their children are in the hospital.
The two-day sale will also feature free hotdogs for patrons.
The owner of the store, Melissa Warnick, said the sale will hopefully help her fulfill the mission of her late parents Ronald R. and Helen McDonald.
“I know both of my parents would be deeply honored and appreciate all you did,” Warnick said. “If we all work together as a group, I truly believe we can make a difference in so many lives.”
