Shoal Creek survives Everest VBS

Shoal Creek Baptist Church, 1077 Shoal Creek Road in Decatur, held an “Everest” vacation Bible school June 8 – 12.
Over 100 kids and volunteers came every night from 6-8:30 p.m. to learn how to “Conquer Challenges with God’s Mighty Power.” They heard stories about Elijah, Namaan, Elisha and Jesus.
Kids learned how God helped each person conquer challenges during their different group times, which included Bible expeditions, KidVid cinema and imagination station. They also enjoyed different games that applied to the lessons each night during “Glacier Games.”
Overall, the kids and adults enjoyed a week of worship, Bible study, recreation and fellowship.
