A graveside service for Betty Lewis, 85, of Decatur was Mon., June 15, at 10 a.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Bro. Jack Redfearn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No public visitation was held.

Mrs. Lewis died Sat., June 13, 2015, at River City Center. She was born April 23, 1930, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Everett Ratcliff and Net Davis Ratcliff. She was a longtime employee of Hartselle Hospital as a surgical assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Lewis; a son, Danny Lewis; and her parents.

She is survived by a son, Eddie Ray Lewis (Anita) of Decatur; a daughter, Dianne Wallace (Don) of Falkville; two brothers, Frank Ratcliff of Ohio and Dean Ratcliff of North Carolina; five sisters, Liz Bentley, Wilma McKenzie, Pauline Atkins, Anne Atkins and Rosie Haar, all of Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
