Man killed in Falkville car accident
A single-vehicle crash in Falkville claimed the life of a Birmingham man Tues., June 2, according to the Morgan County State Trooper’s office.
Gerald Lee Dukes, 51, was killed when the 2001 Oldsmobile he was driving left the roadway and overturned at 9:10 p.m. He was not using a seat belt and was ejected from the car before being pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on Culver Road inside the Falkville city limits. At the time of the incident, Dukes was being pursued by an officer from the Falkville Police Department, which requested Alabama State Troopers investigate the crash.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
