Randall ‘Randy’ Hal Motes

Funeral for Randall “Randy” Hal Motes, 55, of Somerville was Wed., May 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in New Center Cemetery.

Mr. Motes died Sun., May 17, 2015, at his residence. He was born Jan. 3, 1960, in Morgan County to Wilburn Burleson Motes and Ola Mae Reeves Motes. He was a carpenter for Bobby Schrimsher & Sons. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Larry Motes.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Morgan Motes of Somerville; three daughters, Miranda Motes Wood (Dustin) and Katie Motes Cartee (Chris), both of Decatur, and Brianna Motes Wilbanks (Jacob) of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; his mother, Ola Mae Reeves Motes of Somerville; a brother, Ricky Motes, (Bob Lipscomb) of Meridianville; two sisters, Kathy Motes Garner, ( Ronny) of Decatur and Connie Motes Reeves, (Ronnie) of Somerville; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers was Jason Wilbanks, Davy Garner, Chris Motes, Brad Schrimsher, Tyler Ratliff and Alvin Morgan.
