Where is our trust in God?

At some point in our lifetime, we have or will face storms. We may experience sickness, financial problems and disappointments that so often come along. During this time, where is our trust in God? I’m reminded of the disciples in Mark 4 where Jesus gave them instructions to cross over to the other side of the Sea of Galilee while during that time he went down below in the boat and went to sleep. All of a sudden, a violent storm was upon them, and the disciples panicked because they feared they would perish as the boat was tossed. They thought Jesus was unaware and wasn’t concerned about their safety.

In verse 38 it tells us they awoke and said unto Him, “Master carest thou not that we perish”? In verse 39 “He arose, rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Think about the storms in your life. You can either give into the fear and anxiety and think that Jesus doesn’t care, or you can resist the fear that tries to overwhelm you and put your trust in Him and know He cares for you.
