Man arrested on burglary charges
A man was arrested on Wed., May 6, in Decatur on charges of burglary.
Jeremy Lee Johnson, 28, a homeless resident of Decatur, was identified as a suspect following two reports of stolen items. Jewelry was reported as stolen on April 30, from a home on Eastmead Street in Decatur. On May 5, a Decatur resident on College Street reported a watch was stolen. Johnson was arrested the following day and taken to Decatur City Jail.
He was found to have an unrelated active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest with the City of Decatur for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
After serving for this charge, he will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail and held on a $7,500 bond for charges of burglary in the second degree and burglary in the third degree.
