Funeral for Virgil D. Foote, 75, of Hartselle will be Sat., May 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., May 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Foote died Wed., April 29, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1939, in Morgan County to John D. Foote and Omie Mae Wright Foote. Mr. Foote was employed at General Motors for 31 years before his retirement, after which, he also worked for the Hartselle City Schools system as a custodial worker. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Elaine Foote.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Foote of Hartselle, a son, John Foote (Deana) of Hartselle; three grandchildren, John Foote (Beth), Selina Harrelson (Chris) and Marti Ricks (Greg); great grandchildren, Colby, Alyssa, Bryson and Libby; and nephew, Mike Foote (Janice).
