Man charged with indecent exposure

A Lacey’s Spring man is in jail after he was accused of exposing himself to a woman in Decatur.

Jackson Matthew “Jack” Hall, 24, of 882 Hwy. 36 in Lacey’s Spring was charged with indecent exposure. His bond was set at $500.

On April 3, a female delivery person reported to Decatur Police that a white male had exposed his genitalia to her in a sexual fashion while she was making a delivery.

Sgt. George Silvestri of the Decatur Police Department developed hall as the suspect.

Warrants were obtained for Hall’s arrest  an d was arrested on the warrant on April 7.

According to state law, a person commits the crime of indecent exposure if, with intent to arouse or gratify sexual desire of himself, exposes his genitals under circumstances to of any person other than his spouse in which he knows “his conduct is likely to cause affront or alarm in any public place or on the private premises of another or so near thereto as to be seen from such private premises.”

Indecent exposure is a Class A misdemeanor except a third or subsequent conviction shall be a Class C felony.
