HHS Freshman and JV Round-Up

Hartselle 7, Russellville 1

 

Riley Wood and Ethan Ellis led the freshman Tigers in hitting on Saturday.

They each had a double. Jackson Terry, Garrett Wade, Connor Burks and Walter Ferguson also had hits.

The winning pitcher was Wade Garrett.

 

Hartselle 11, Florence 0

 

Jackson Terry, Houston Wright and Walton Ferguson led Hartselle from the plate with two doubles each. Also getting hits were Garrett Wade, Britt Gillette, Connor Burks and Chuck Ord.

Winning pitcher for the freshmen Tigers was Houston Wright, pitching five innings with nine strikeouts and two walks.

 

Hartselle 5, Russellville 4

 

Walter Ferguson and Chuck Ord led the Tigers in hitting against Russellville with a double each on Thursday.

Adding hits included Garrett Wade, Riley Wood, Walton Ferguson and Ethan Ellis. Houston Wright was the winning pitcher.

 

Hartselle 8, Russellville 7

 

Britt Gillette, Riley Wood and Chuck Ord hit doubles to put the Tigers ahead of Russelville.

Sharing the mound was Jackson Terry, Seth Mayfield and Garrett Wade. Wade was the winning pitcher.

 

Hartselle 8, Randolph 5

 

Jackson Terry led Hartselle at the plate with a triple.

Britt Gillette, Connor Burks, Houston Wright, Chuck Ord and Ethan Ellis also got hits.

Wright was the winning pitcher. Sharing mound duties with Wright were Seth Mayfield and Ethan Ellis.

 

Hartselle 1, Randolph 0

 

The Tigers were able to pull out a 1-0 win on a close match in a doubleheader Tues., March 31.

Leading at the plate was Trace Hill with a double.

Sharing the mound were Chuck Ord and Connor Burks with Burks being the winning pitcher.

 

Hartselle 13, Decatur 0

 

The Hartselle JV shut out Decatur 13-0 Wed., April 1.

Getting doubles were James Edde and Connor Landers.

Skylar Holland was the winning pitcher. He pitched four innings with six strikeouts and one walk. Pitching one inning was Wes Tanner with one strikeout and no walks.

Issac Taylor, Caleb Meyer and Trace Carpenter each had doubles for the Tigers against Decatur.

Blake Lowe pitched the entire game with seven strikeouts and three walks.

In the first game of a doubleheader Mon., March 30, the JV Tigers came out on top.

Matt James and Skylar Holland led the JV Tigers at the plate. Also getting hits were Christian Edwards, Trevor Oakes, Eric Stephenson, Caleb Meyer and Trace Carpenter.

Will Howse was the winning pitcher striking out two and walking two. Eddy Kyle pitched two innings with one strikeout and one walk.

Decatur 0

 

Leading at the plate for the JV Tigers in the second game Mon, March 30, was Issac Taylor and Connor Landers with a double each.

Cy Harris, Caleb Meyer, Trace Carpenter and Skylar Holland added hits.

Andrew Nuss pitched seven innings with nine strikeouts and no walks.
