JROTC drill competition set for Saturday

The American Legion Post 15 in Decatur will be hosting a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps drill and ceremonies competition April 4 at 9 a.m.

The competition will be held at the American Legion Post 15 located at 2607 Highway 31 South in Decatur. The competition is free and open to the public.

This competition is a demonstration of military drill and ceremonies conducted by high school students who are members of the Junior Reserve Officer Corps located at their respective schools. The groups competing in the upcoming event are Austin High School, Decatur High School, Priceville High School, Brewer High School and Athens High School.

Please come out and cheer for our future leaders of the armed services as they compete for honors at this drill and ceremonies competition.
