HHS Tennis goes undefeated against Athens

The Tigers swept Athens Mon., March 16 with neither the boys nor the girls losing a single match.

Josiah Lanier beat Phillip McCain 10-5, Levi Lanier beat Mac McAllister 10-0, James Ashley beat Danny Tran 10-1, Matt Pham beat Noah Sowell 10-1, Connor Lawrence beat Noah Blackwood 10-2 and Chris Johnston beat Ryan Svaadra 10-0.

Josiah and Levi Lanier beat McCain and McAllister 11-9 in their doubles match. Bo Brown and Lawrence beat Tran and Sowell 10-5, and Auston Howard and Johnston beat Blackwood and Svaadra 10-1.

Jordan Barbery beat Kaitlyn Watkins 10-0, Katie Beth Bole beat Madison Bledsoe 10-0, Erika Roman beat Daisy Roberts 10-1, Catherine Bodley beat Sabrina Young 10-0, Nidhi Vakharia beat Carmen Haney 10-0 and Karly Agee beat Maddie McMeans 10-0.

Barbery and Bole beat Watkins and Bledsoe 10-0 in a doubles match. Roman and Bodley beat Roberts and Young 10-1, and Vakharia and Agee beat Haney and McMeans 10-0.

 

Lady Tigers tennis sweeps Austin

 

The Lady Tigers beat Austin 9-0 Tues., March 17, also picking up a win in their exhibition doubles match.

Jordan Barbery won her match 10-3, Katie Beth Bole won 10-0, Erika Roman won 10-6, Catherine Bodley won 10-1, Nidhi Vakharia won 10-1 and Karly Agee won 10-4. Barbery and Bole won their doubles match 10-0, Roman and Bodley won their match 10-1, Vakharia and Agee won their match 10-8 and Lizzie Howse and Lexie Bivens won their match 10-9.

The boys lost to the Black Bears 3-6, finishing with a victory in their exhibition singles match.

Connor Lawrence and Chris Johnston won their singles matches 10-4, and Auston Howard won 10-7. Johnston and Lawrence won their doubles match 10-3.
