Funeral for Thomas Earl Cottingham Sr., 76, of Decatur will be Wed., March 18, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rob Jackson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mr. Cottingham died Mon., March 16, 2015, at his residence. He was born March 9, 1939, in Lawrence County to Foster Cottingham and Etta Jane Aldridge Cottingham. He was a cement finisher and worked with his brothers doing concrete work. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his Wife, Peggy Cottingham of Decatur; a son, Thomas Earl Cottingham Jr. (Brandy) of Fairview; two daughters, Tammy Hughes of Tennessee and Roxzia Hanna (David Hogeland) of Decatur; four sisters, Christine Whitlock, Dot Hargove and Margie Poff, all of Lawrence County and Patsy Blevins of Priceville; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harold Kelso, Marty Holt, Torey Cottingham, Justin Cottingham and Robert Ricks.
