A graveside service for Ella Mae Chappell Dean, 88, of Falkville was Mon., March 16, at 11:30 a.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Todd Barrier and Bro. Gary Webster officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Dean died Fri., March 13, 2015, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born March 16, 1926, in Morgan County to Obe Burden Chappell and Ollie Cecil Chappell. She was a seamstress for Fly Manufacturing Company prior to her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Marcus Dean; her parents; an infant son, Robert Steven Dean; five brothers; and five sisters.

She is survived by five sons, Larry Joe Dean (Shirley) of Murphreesboro, Tenn., Cecil Allen Dean (Gwen) of Decatur and Stanley Marcus Dean (Yong), Randy Paul Dean (Annette) and David Franklin Dean (Ramona), all of Hartselle; a daughter, Judy Dean Lott (Harold) of Decatur; a sister, Louise Smith of Cullman; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were sons and grandsons.
