We have blessed assurance

Ever feel like you are at the end of your rope?

Though we may face many trials, discouragements and difficult times, we must never give up hope. II Corinthians 4: 8-9 tells us we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.

As we face those troubles each day, it’s natural that we would focus on the pain that we are going through. However, God tells us in His Word He will never leave us or forsake us. He has already paid the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Therefore, no matter what we are faced with in this life, we have the blessed assurance of eternal life, where there will be no more trials, discouraging times and difficult situations. All suffering will end.

Christian love and sympathy goes out to Tommy and Betty Dorris in the loss of Tommy’s brother-in-law, Buddy Atkinson; to Mike and Kelly Petzole in the loss of Kelly’s stepdad, Wayne Coggins; to Darryl and Tammie Gulley in the loss of Tammie’s uncle, Troy Moorer; to Wesley and Rebecca McCutcheon in the loss of Rebecca’s grandfather, Glenn Stover; to Dion Hatfield in the loss of her grandmother, Annie Inez Hopper; to Pruitt Johnson in the loss of his brother, Troy Charles Johnson; and to Katrina Halbrooks Garrison and family in the loss of her mother, Eula Russell Halbrooks.
