Local schools to delay classes three hours Tuesday
Hartselle City Schools and Morgan County Schools delay classes three hours for Tuesday due to the threat of icy travel conditions overnight.
Hartselle School Superintendent Dr. Vic Wilson said all 12-month employees are to report on a two-hour delay.
Morgan County School Superintendent Bill Hopkins Jr. said all 12-month employees should report at normal time weather and travel permitting.
Wilson also moved the location of tomorrow’s Hartselle Board of Education meeting from Hartselle Junior High School to the central office. The meeting time will remain at the 6 p.m.
“We didn’t want to cause any travel problems for students, parents or teachers because of the board meeting location,” Wilson said.
The next board meeting scheduled for March 16 at 6 p.m. will be at HJHS, and the board meeting at Hartselle Intermediate School has been changed to April 20.
