Hartselle’s boys and girls teams were swept by Cullman in the home opener Friday.

The girls won just three of the nine matches against Cullman.

Jordan Barbrey and Katy Beth Bole defeated Olivia Sharpton 6-2, 6-2 and Anna Trevarthem 6-1, 7-5, respectively.

Barbrey and Bole also won their doubles match with Sharpton and Trevarthem 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.

The boys team was swept 9-0 by Cullman.

Chris Johnston tried to give the Tigers their only win on the boys side, but the Bearcats’ Jacob Lambert rallied to win 4-6, 7-6, 10-4 in the closest match of the day.
