Funeral for Henry Davis Stephenson, 92, of Decatur will be Sun., Feb. 8, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Lee officiating and Ridout’s Brown-Service directing.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sun., from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Stephenson died Wed., Feb. 2, 2015. He was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Lawrence County to Russell and Fannie Leigh Stephenson. He was a member of Austinville Baptist Church. He worked at NASA for 18 years during the Apollo era. He then worked at Bryant Welding and North Alabama Trailer.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn “Billie” Stephenson; three sons, Roger D. Stephenson (Vicki), Ken Stephenson (Gina), Paul Stephenson (Michele); daughter, Freda Thompson(Myron); niece, Lucy Bolding; three grandsons, Jud Stephenson (Emily), Dan Stephenson (Lauren) and Russell Stephenson; one granddaughter, Nichole Poole (Michael); and two great-grandchildren, Hadley and Ainsley Poole.
