Funeral for Rita Faye “Cardy” Jones, 67, of Decatur will be Sat., Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Waynesboro, Miss. with the Rev. Chad Payne officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery, Wayne County, Mississippi. Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones died Tues., Jan. 20, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Baldwin County to Herman Hayes, Sr. and Adell Fleming. She was affectionately called “Cardy” by her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She also was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Mickey, Danny, Daniel and Gary Hayes; and one sister, Karen Hayes Melaio.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Bob W. Jones of Decatur; a son, Bryan Jones of Falkville; a daughter, Carla Jones Reed of Madison; two brothers, Herman Hayes, Jr. (Evelyn) and Thomas Hayes, both of Mobile; a sister, Betty Hayes White of Calvert; and two grandchildren, Fayeth Reed and Judson Reed.
