Funeral for Kenneth Ray Floyd, 74, of Decatur will be Sat., Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Hartselle with Bro. Charles Shaddix and Pastor Dwain Clemons officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Floyd died Wed., Jan. 14, 2015, at Limestone Health Facility. He was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Morgan County to Bernard Lee Floyd and Gladys Magnolia (Francis) Floyd. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear- (Decatur Facility), as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Hartselle and helped on the Ramp Ministry. He was also active with the Morgan Baptist Association Disaster Relief. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Floyd of Decatur; two sons, John Floyd (Marsha) of Birmingham and Michael Floyd (Lori) of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Joyce Blackburn of Tuscaloosa and Becky Gulley of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Harrison Floyd, Hampton Floyd, Benjamin Floyd and Joshua Floyd.
Pallbearers will be Barry Pearson, Phillip Parmer, Ray Cox, Stephen Hancock, Steve McKee, and Dick Graham.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of his Sunday school class.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Morgan Baptist Disaster Relief.
