McKendree Methodist Church, Bridge Center, 2795 Hwy. 55 West, Danville, hosts Thrive, Jan. 18, at 2:30 p.m. They will have praise songs, a short message, food and fellowship.

“Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage,” the popular marriage-enrichment seminar by Mark Gungor, will be Monday nights, beginning Jan. 19 at 6:30 at Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church, 250 Forrest Chapel Road, Hartselle. Each of the 12 sessions will last 1 to 1 1/2 hours. It is appropriate for newlyweds, long-time marrieds, and engaged couples. The first 9 couples to sign up receive a free study guide.
