A graveside service for Either Mae Kinney, 86, of Eva was Sun., Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Cove Cemetery with the Rev. Clifford Barger officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Kinney died Thur., Jan. 1, 2015, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 23, 1928, in Morgan County to James Hubert Jennings and Irabelle Taylor Jennings. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church, a seamtress and worked in Eva for Bert and Marie Collins. She was best known for her wonderful chicken salad. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armon Lee Kinney and her parents.
She is survived by a son, Phillip Kinney (Amy) of Eva; a daughter, Jeanette Holmes (Zack) of Eva; a brother, Cois Jennings (Irene) of Eva; a sister, Mary Alice Lindsey of Priceville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and four stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Greg Holmes, Jason Holmes, Cois Jennings, Haden Holmes, Randy Powe, Billy Woods and Carter Holmes.
