Wallace “Hoss” Tyson Wright

Funeral for Wallace Tyson Wright, 72, of Hartselle will be Sat., Jan. 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Sparks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wright died on Mon., Dec. 29, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1942, in Cullman County to William H. Wright and Verna Hawkins Wright. He was formerly employed by Solutia as an electrician and was known as “Hoss” to those that worked with him at Monsanto for 37 years. After retirement, he stayed busy with his grandchildren. He enjoyed growing vegetables for his friends and family. He was also involved in other business ventures. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gweennell Taylor; and one brother, Billy Wright.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Andrea Wright of Hartselle; a son, Keith Wright (Phyllis) of Hartselle; two daughters, Debbie Blackmon (Rusty) of Hartselle and Melissa Robinson of Hartselle; two brothers, Calvin Wright of Cullman and John Wright (Vivian) of Eva; two sisters, Geraldine Couch (Bobby) of Hartselle and Greta Eady of Eva; five grandchildren, Lindsay Robinson, Leah Robinson, Austin Blackmon, Houston Wright and Trent Wright.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Luker, Jeff Wright, Jason Wright, Jeremy Couch, Glenn Holmes and Dwight Mason.
