GALLERY: Priceville takes second at Marx Optical
Priceville’s Bulldogs (5-3) finished second as host team in the Marx Optical Thanksgiving Tournament with a 3-0 record.
West Limestone captured first place in the eight-team tournament after compiling a 3-0 record and allowing its opponents the fewest number of points.
“It was a good tournament with good competition,” said Priceville head coach Darrell Haynes. “I feel like our team got better.”
The Bulldogs defeated East Limestone 59-50 in their final tournament game Saturday afternoon.
Kyle Haynes paced the bulldogs in scoring with 15 points. Parker Gwin had 11 points, Marc McLendon 10, Luke Mason 9, Noah Fortner 7, Austin Smith 5 and Jared McKelvy 4.
The Bulldogs played two games Wed., Nov. 26, defeating Clements 66-61 and Ardmore 84-58.
McLendon scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs against Ardmore. Mason, Brandon Dinh and Haynes each scored 10 points.
Jacks Jones paced Ardmore with 18 points. Raymond Perry and Dominic Clemons each had 10 points.
Haynes led the Bulldogs in scoring against Clements with 19 points. Luke Mason added 14 points and Parker Gwin had 13 points.
Carson Cooke paced Clements with 16 points, Colton Gafford added 13 points and Ontario Patrick had 13.
