Priceville throttles county rivals

Priceville outscored Danville 36-11 in the first half to cruise to a 62-34 win on the opening night of the basketball season Nov. 11.

Luke Mason led the way with 14 points and four rebounds. Kyle Haynes added 12 points, five steals and five assists.

Parker Gwin added nine followed by Marc McClendon with eight, Brandon Dinh with seven, Austin Smith with five, Noah Fortner with four, Jared McKelvy with two and Jake Wood with one. Smith also had six rebounds.

Andreas Cordova paced Danville with 11 points followed by Alan Cordova with five, Preston Butler, Isaiah Moore, John Morgan and Wade Vest with four each and Drew Fitzgerald and Luke Hinkle with one each.

 

Boaz 51, Brewer Boys 34

The Patriots dropped their season opener to Boaz 51-35 on the road Thursday.

Colton Pritchett led the Patriots with eight points. Kolton Bramlett followed with seven points and John Graves added six points.

“I thought our kids played pretty well for a first game but they didn’t shoot well,” said Brewer head coach Doug Oldacre.

 

Priceville 67, Brewer 37

Priceville easily handled Brewer at home Friday.

Kyle Haynes led Priceville in scoring with 14 points. Austin Smith had 13 points and Parker Guin and Marc McLendon each scored 11 points,

Desean Walker led Brewer with 11 points.
