Funeral for Jimmy Wayne Self, 67, of Hartselle was Wed., Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Anthony Patterson and Bro. Gary Peebles officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Self died Mon., Oct. 20, 2014, at his residence. He was born August 6, 1947, in Morgan County to Lecil H. Self and Ernestine Puckett Self. He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and was self-employed as a roofer and a mechanic. He loved his grandchildren. He was preceded indeath by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Ward Self of Hartselle; two sons, Jimmy Ray Self and Terry Bost, both of Hartselle; four daughters, Missy Vinson, Donna Vest and Brenda Scott, all of Hartselle and Kim Rider of Somerville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Chad Vest, Alex Mote, David VanKoughnett, Darrin Rider, Eric Stauch and Tony Vest.

Honorary pallbearers were Caleb Vinson and Alan Vinson.
