OUR OPINION: Let your voice be heard
As the general election draws nearer, we encourage you to get out and vote this Nov. 4.
Our city, state and nation faces an important time and this election could be one of the most important elections that we will see.
Locally, of course, we have our referendum on alcohol sales. It doesn’t matter whether you vote yes or no, it is important that you express that opinion. If you choose not to vote, then you must be willing to accept the consequences of that decision.
If you’re planning to be out of town for the election, make sure that you apply for an absentee ballot before the deadline, which is Oct. 30.
And if you’ve never been registered to vote, you have until Oct. 24 to do so.
