Falkville Elementary releases first nine weeks honor roll

First Baptist Church Falkville extends birthday wishes to Gayle Holcombe on Nov. 27, Don Nelson and Ellie Hill, both on Nov. 29 and Karen Austin on Nov. 30.

Congratulations to the Falkville Blue Devils football team for winning their first game in the playoffs. They were host to Shoals Christian. They lost in the second round game to Hubbertville.

Spending the weekend with O’Neil and Margaret Murphy were Carol Murphy and her daughter, Autumn, of Tuscaloosa.

Church services at Pilgrims Rest, located in the Bethel Community in Cullman County, are: Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m., Sunday night service at 5 p.m. and prayer service Wed. at 7 p.m. They have lunch at the church on the third Sunday. Wess Watts is the minister.

Susie Dean celebrated her birthday on Nov. 18. Best wishes on her special day are sent from her parents, O’Neil and Margaret Murphy.

The Murphy’s also send birthday wishes to their granddaughter, Breanna Dean of Lake Wales, Fla.

Veterans were honored at First Baptist Church on Sun., Nov. 10. They were each presented with a flag pin.

A community-wide Thanksgiving service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Sun., Nov. 24, at 6 p.m.
