Business set for drop-off site for soldier care package items
Edward Jones Investments at 113 West Main Street will be the drop-off site for items to be sent to local troops serving in Afghanistan.
The business is attempting to locate men and women from the Hartselle area that are serving there to ship them boxes of goodies in time for Thanksgiving.
Acceptable items include individually wrapped snacks (crackers, cookies, nuts, beef jerky, etc.); candy and gum, lunch bucket type microwavable items such as ravioli, soup, macaroni and cheese; microwave popcorn; cereal (small individual boxes); individual condiment packets such as ketchup, mayonnaise, sugar, sweet and low; juice boxes or pouches such as Juicy Juice or Capri Sun; wet wipes; hand sanitizer (small bottles that they can stick in a pocket are great); Chap Stick.
These items will be collected at Edward Jones through Nov. 7. Or you can also donate money toward postage costs.
