New Center Baptist sponsors golf tourney on Oct. 13

It used to be called ‘Keeping up with the Jones’s’ but how content are we? If our car is old but still reliable, we want a new one. If our hair is brown, we want blonde, or if we are a size 14, we want to be a size 8. Can we not ever be satisfied? Philippians 4:11 says “Not that I speak in respect of want; for I have learned whatsoever state I am, I will be content.” How do we learn this? Contentment doesn’t come easy for us, we must take it one step as a time.

Love and sympathy to the family and friends of Micah Coffey, Wendell Randolph, Jean Thomas Kreps and my cousin, Glenda Johnson Vaughn.
